I will get the model # of the pump tomorrow morning and post it here - it is a Hayward Perflex I do remember that, and yes the bump handle is on the top. I don't know that he has ever soaked the fingers in an acid bath, I know he has taken them out and soaked them in a bucket to clean them before.
