I'm in the desert. After years of using triclor tabs, CA was over 200 and was requiring 5 + gallons a week of 12% chlorine. Spent $40 for Bio Active's CYA reducer and it brought it down to 20 PPM. Now with CYA at 30, I use 2 gallons of chlorine a week and less in the winter.
