Just wow, read the entire thread. Looking into getting a FG pool for my family and this is making my stomach churn.

Shocking your pool is not a product within a bag, but instead a process. Read pool school and with enough time and persistence you will get it done no problem. I just had to undergo this recently when I had to fight off some algae. Listen to these guys they are very helpful and good luck!

I'm ordering some powder CYA (100% Cyanuric Acid) from amazon. I will get the appropriate amount according to the pool calculator and get it up to 40. From all the reviews it appears the liquid version is going to show immediate results in testing but is more expensive than the powder version...
