Suggestions? Broke the strap on my Louisbourg Treated wood pool

Hi all you pool experts. I have a 13' round Louisbourg treated cedar wood pool that the upper binding strap rotted out and broke this week. It was manufactured by Techno Bios in Canada, but I am unable to find them now. I believe they have since gone out of business. Leaving me with the...

Hi folks, I recently acquired a spa (for free) and want to connect it to my pool system which is mostly pentair products intelloflow pump, mastertemp heater etc. I am wondering which of pentair automation systems would be most suitable for this project. replacing with an Intelliflow VF

I am getting ready to replace my wisperflow with an Intelliflow VF. the contractor was looking for specifics about the wiring, pentair manual is vague. They say to put it on a dedicated circuit but give no details beyond needing 230 v. does anyone have some specific criteria for this job? :?:

    I have a pool pilot dg220

To calibrate the salt level I purchased a digital salt reader, this has been the saving grace for not over salting. It did cost a bit like $200 but it has been worth it. I have used it to set the salt level on the pool pilot

    pool pilot cell longevity

I am of the understanding from reading on this forum that the average life of a swg cell is around 5 years. I'm here to write an obituary for my original pool pilot DIG-220 cell which was installed April of 2005. making it a whopping 7.5 years. I am pleased with it's performance. Replacement...

my solution to lowering Total Alkalinity

The fading was before I went to the BBB, it is even at the water line but the bottom has faded unevenly, probably concentrated borate when I added it, now it's mostly white/light blue with rust marks. I have spots this past year where the sand around the edges has pitted and left craters in the...

my solution to lowering Total Alkalinity

This is an indoor pool, the CYA level is between 0 and 10 and it works at that level, I have had problems in the past with the CYA above 50 interfering with the ORP reading on the chemtrol. my chlorine levels stay fairly stable. My drop test yesterday placed the CC>.5 for a TC @ 1.7 this is a...

my solution to lowering Total Alkalinity

My pool is fairly automated and indoor so maintenance sometimes gets neglected. I did a cartilage filter cleaning, screen cleaning and have a unique solution for lowering the total Alkalinity. I add Muratic acid to drop PH to 7.0, luckily I have a digital PH read on my Chemtrol, then I have a...

    Intex SWG with Copper Ionization??

I have that set up separately. DON"T let your copper level climb, it is like CYA the only way to get rid of it is to drain the pool. stains the plastic and walls too if it is too high.Mine is just there for backup now, like when I go on an extended vacation and don't run the pool.

    The reliability of SWG's

Hi poolsean, In 2005 I built an indoor AG pool to do Watsu therapy (aquatic massage) in my commercial home. It runs 12 hours a day from noon to midnight and kept at 96 degrees. More info about the pool at http://www.akashabodysmith.com Last year it went with a low grade algae problem and the...
