New fiberglass pool is full of cracks... HELP!

That 3rd pic clearly shows the damage and it is obvious that is not surface cracks in the jell coat, that is clearly thru the shell, the builder stating this is just surface cracks in the jell coat is ludicrous and just shows what a scum bag he is!!!

Vacs for Above ground pool what do you have

I have a barracuda cleaner and it works well. The key to suction side cleaners that have detachable section hoses is not to store them coiled up. I take mine apart after every cleaning and store them in one of those plastic Christmas paper roll storage containers. If you store the hose sections...

    child had accident in pool

I just had this happen not long ago at my sons birthday party. Little went in her swim diaper. I elevated the fc to 8 that morning, I normally keep it about 4.5 no issues at all, cl just did its job. My god daughter also threw up in our pool from swallowing too much water, did the same thing...

    Another liquidator issue/question

My thinking is since the pump is all plastic it shouldn't hurt anything much? Mine probably does the same thing and I have not noticed any issues. I have a Hayward pump.

Pool Light Fixture full of water

Sounds like it may be time for a new light fixture, I found a led light off eBay that is resin filled, so it can't really leak per say as the Entire light is filled with resin. Works great! If your interested do a search on eBay for 546 led pool light and you will see it. The last 3 lights I had...

Fighting with pool all summer -- any advice before I drain?

Re: Fighting with pool all summer -- any advice before I dra Just make sure you don't let the fc drop below shock value otherwise you might have to start the entire shock process over again, when I shocked my pool this last spring my fc was almost completely gone within 2 hours, so basically...

    Solar cover life

Hi, was wondering how long the average solar cover should last? This is the 3rd season for our solar cover and this year it seems to have really deteriorated. Almost like a dry rot, could it be the excessive heat this year, This summer has been very hot in our area and I usually leave our pool...

    Foolhardy restoration?

I would use hydraulic cement to fill cracks/gaps in the cinder blocks. I am wondering if it would be less expensive to just repair the walls with hydraulic cement and throw in a vinyl liner by the time everything is said and done. Even I you fixed the walls you will still need to seal them with...

    Cutting pvc with miter saw?

Way too many other things to worry about then stress over this :) I have used my chop saw to cut PVC many times, it's not an issue. Just spin the blade up to full rpm then cut the pipe. At the rpm's these things turn Blade don't matter that much as its will just cut the material away and leave a...
