Clean it, winter cover and drain the solar. Done. It doesn't freeze here like it does back there, hard frost at the very most.

So, when I clean the bottom of the pool I notice that the flow/pressure coming back out drops off significantly compared to how it was right before the cleaning starts. The pressure doesn't change, so what I've been doing is turning the pump off and setting it to either "bypass to waste" or...

i regret cuttting mine. The wind blows it around exposing parts of the water - loosing heat. Alsoo the pump during the day moves the pieces around. 18' AGP cut into 3 strips

$300 for my 18'. I'd rather do that than spend week after week fighting the hulk...

The Bay area is just a little to chilly most of the time to call it a great pool location...

That explains that then! I've always lived with city water so ...I guess I'm lucky too.

The question was to the forum about why a recc. of a drain and fill isn't reccomended more often - not a liner question..

It cost me less than $100 and a few hours to fill my 18' AGP - this seems like a really good suggestion but it doesn't get thrown out much... risk of liner shrinkage?
