Ah, I see. It's not the valve that cracked, it's where the valve attaches to the filter. The fitting that screws into the filter that the valve then gets pushed in and screwed on. I highlighted the pieces from the owner's manual.

That's what my thought is. The bulkhead itself seems very solid. When I replace it, how tight should it be? Hand tight? As tight as it'll get? Somewhere in between? Thanks!
