I'd just use cheap, blue tarp for the winter, anchored on the sides with water bags. By the way, I just received a LoopLoc II solid vinyl cover for a 38x14 pool. Delivered price with pump $1800. I'll be installing this weekend.

I have a 38' x 14' fiberglass, Leisure Moroccan pool I've purchased the LoopLoc cover and need to install same. Shape of pool is basically rectangle with a about a 15' "half moon" indentation on one side. Instructions call for laying out a a grid of line to support cover prior to installation...

I started preparing for a fiberglass pool by FIRST reading everything on this website. Do your research! YOU should decide what model of pool, filter, pump, returns, skimmers, concrete, etc, who pulls permits, who does the electrical, who does the plumbing, who buys the gravel, what size gravel...

I planned for a year and researched EVERYTHING. The shell alone cost $18k (delivered). I initially made a deal with an internet company to supply and install the pool. When I got to the day before delivery I discovered I was about to get screwed. The contract was cancelled but I was left with...

The color added to the concrete was a beige. The wash was black and sealer clear. There is no non-slip added. PB did not recommend non-slip and I didn't want it to start with; too rough on the feet. I'm enforcing the "no run" rule to prevent slipping. Honestly, it's not that bad.

Pool is up and running, in balance, including the salt content. Water is crystal clear and beautiful to just look at... Thanks for all the help! Now all we have to do is enjoy the summer!
