Just noticed this week that the water level in my hot tub is decreasing. Found this leak: Easy fix? What to do? Thanks!

Am I screwed? Hot tub breaker shot, freezing weather for days.

Well, that answers that question. It's back to not heating. New heater ordered.

Am I screwed? Hot tub breaker shot, freezing weather for days.

Just to be clear. The high limit is connected again. It is now heating and maintaining 102, turning off when it hits 103, turning back on when it drops to 101.

Am I screwed? Hot tub breaker shot, freezing weather for days.

update: So I turned off the hot tub at the breaker and disconnected the two high temp connections from the pressure switch, and reconnected them to themselves, then put them back on their correct connections and restarted the hot tub. Heat came on, so I bumped it up 2 degrees from default to...

Am I screwed? Hot tub breaker shot, freezing weather for days.

Well, had spa repair man come out. He replaced gfci and pressure switch, but he thinks it's the high limit switch, which in a cal spas 2100 is inside the heater. Also, in these cal spa heaters, the heating element is on the outside of the tube, never in contact with the water, which he says is...

Am I screwed? Hot tub breaker shot, freezing weather for days.

To clarify the above post, I am still running the hot tub on a regular, non-gfci breaker. I did receive the gfci breaker the other day, I just haven't had a chance to install it. - - - Updated - - - Thanks, Jim. Should I install the GFCI breaker before I install the new pressure switch?

Am I screwed? Hot tub breaker shot, freezing weather for days.

So the hot tub continues to heat, but only sometimes. I've noticed that if I turn the breaker off for a few minutes (in order to get a water sample), and then turn it back on again, the hot tub will heat. I just received a replacement pressure switch. Should I just switch out the pressure...

Am I screwed? Hot tub breaker shot, freezing weather for days.

The original problem was hot tub not heating. I had been switching breaker on and off numerous times over the past week in trying to figure that problem out, which is what led me to turning off the breaker yesterday. When I came out a couple of hour later to turn the breaker on, it didn't have...

Am I screwed? Hot tub breaker shot, freezing weather for days.

another update: I turned the jets to high, and then back down to low circulate, and then the heat indicator light came on again. Does this lean to the idea that the pressure switch is faulty?>

Am I screwed? Hot tub breaker shot, freezing weather for days.

Right. OK, so I got the non GFCI breaker in. The wire I was talking about was the ground wire from the hot tub. I attached that to the ground bus bar, and now hot tub turns on and circulates. No one will be going in the hot tub. I had the assistance of my hot tub repairman giving me...

Am I screwed? Hot tub breaker shot, freezing weather for days.

OK, I tried this.... but what about the ground wire? What do I do with that?

Am I screwed? Hot tub breaker shot, freezing weather for days.

So I should have tried disconnecting wires before messing with the GFCI? Great, I SCREWED myself! So what is my best course here. The new GFCI won't be here until tomorrow, and probably late in the day. Until then, it's going to be freezing cold. If I drain my hot tub this morning, will...
