    Power requirements into Easytouch

Thanks for confirming. Requiring 4 gauge 60 amp seemed crazy to me but the manual did seem to imply that. I will just 8 gauge (or maybe 6 gauge given the distance and volt drop.).

    Power requirements into Easytouch

the Installation page of the ET does actually cite a minimum of 60 amps input into it. I don’t have that much equipment to power just pool pump, ic40, and maybe a light or two will be added. No plans to add heater or spa or extra pumps. The pool equipment is under a Deck accessible via trap...

    Power requirements into Easytouch

I am running new 240 volt wire to my pool. It will be used to power a Pentaire easytouch 4 with ic40 SWG and a Pentaire intelliflow pump. I thought AWG #8 providing 30-40 amps would be more than sufficient but the easy touch install manual says AWG #4 for a minimum of 60 amps is required power...

Trying to figure which pentaire pump is best for my setup-- need help

Thanks for the excellent explanation. Pentaire really should hire u to explain all the different models. The pool store people claimed the intelliflo was too big. So with the intelliflo I could run the pump across the full spectrum of speeds (if I wanted) without busting my plumbing and...

Trying to figure which pentaire pump is best for my setup-- need help

Hi all, Would like to upgrade from a Hayward 750 pool pump (single speed, 3/4 HP, 120 volt, RPM 3450, 13 amp) to a variable speed. Have narrowed it down to Pentaire pumps but am very confused about which model is most compatible with my setup. I plan to run a 40 amp 220 volt line (powering...

Automation options with Pentaire Superflo VS pump

Great idea but Not sure what the 115 volt wire size is. Unfortunately in addition to the pump the 115 line powers the pool light and deck lights which are 115 as well. If I switch the line to 220 don't think those lights would work anymore. I would love to run a dedicated 220 to the pump but it...

Automation options with Pentaire Superflo VS pump

The 342001 is the model I had found as well. Thanks for all the info on the connections. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Automation options with Pentaire Superflo VS pump

Thx for the response. So the Easytouch 4 would not work for this setup-- am trying to understand why the Easytouch 8 would be needed vs Easytouch 4. I was assuming with the Superflo VS, ic40, acid dispenser, and solar that would be the 4 slots the Easytouch 4 would control. Or does the Superflo...

Automation options with Pentaire Superflo VS pump

I want to replace my single speed with a VS pump that can be automated. Problem is I I have only a 115 volt line available so am limited to pump options (Pentair Superflo VS and Hayward Maxflo VS). Running a 220 volt line would be difficult. I just have a 21k gallon pool with 36 sq ft Hayward...

Auto-switch between vac and skim variable speed pump

Thx for the response. Understood that you set variable speed pump to optimal speed when vacuuming and then optimal speed while skimming. In my system you have to vacuum and skim at the same time since the vacuum is tied into the skimmer basket (no separate vac line). This means when...

Auto-switch between vac and skim variable speed pump

I have an older pool that does not have a separate pipe for skimmer and vacuum. I have a device called vac mate that replaces skimmer basket and allows vacuuming and skimming at same time. You can manually set how much suction goes to each. It works great as long as there is lots of suction...
