PROBLEM SOLVED....I't mus have been a loose wire or who knows what. After all the switching wires it works fine now. Thanks for everyone's help.

Yes it is in spa mode and the spa heater is enabled. I first noticed it when I was in the spa and the heat bust button didn't work. Great idea on the short circuit wire, although when I switched it to one of the buttons I knew worked, it still didn't activate heat boost.

I'm switching the wires at the control panel with one that works. It's something in or on the control panel causing the issue not the buttons or the wires. That's why I switched them to rule out bad wires or buttons out.

Basically that's what I did. I switched wires with one that worked to see if it was a bad button. It wasn't the button since it worked when I switched it.

I have a Compool LX 3600 and the spa side remote "heat boost" function has stopped working. All the other buttons work and if I switch wires at the circuit board the button for the heat boost works on whatever I plug it into, so it's not the button itself. Any suggestions on how to...

Are you sure the white powder is DE? I have had a similar problem with a white slimy powder accumulating on the bottom of my spa and the pool around the returns. I also thought it was DE and spent a lot of time with the filter trying to figure out if it had a leak or something with no luck...
