    Skimmer Liner Leak

    Screws won't tighten on the skimmer plate. Sheet metal wall behind skimmer rusted out. Need to stop the leak. Do I drill new holes between the existing screws, or remove the screws and replace with bolts? I will make four piece backing plate to sandwich the liner. I've lowered the water...

    For those in the northeast that have a heat pump - how good does it work???

    I get 3/4 to 1.0 Deg F. per hour with my heater. 20 K inground pool with 83,000 BTU H Water-Furnace heater. (Electric heat pump) Always try to keep the solar cover on to reduce heat and water loss. I only try to run the heater now during solar production. Averaging 7 hours per day of heating.

    Will a SWCG work if water temps are too low?

    Moved from here.. SWCG - Should it be on if water temps are too low? I'm looking to get a SWG and if I plumb it like I've read, after the heater, won't it see all the heat from the heater and be able to run?

    I guessed cya of 100 because that's the max the test will read.

    Ok sounds good but we had very little water removed from the pool over the winter. Closing the pool reading of cya from pools stores 120-150 and now I have no reading or less than 20? How is that possible?

    So the test water never turns milky and I can still see the dot it's Low? Wow last year I changed to bleach because the CYA was high and had two different test from pool store tell me to drain water. I've since bought taylor test kit. Not sure what to do now.

    Ambient lighting for backyard around pool area

    Yes we have one 50' set. Some of the colors are bright, there are 16 colors and all have 9 levels of dimming. So you can have your choice. We do have ours on a photo cell timer, and the lights remember their last setting, so very nice set of lights but for the price.
