    Safe to swim after shocking

We shocked our pool last night. I found the cya/chlorine chart to find the recommended shock level. Ours was 16. So we got up this morning and it was still 16. Is it safe to swim in today if the chlorine level stays high? I know the sun will evaporate some but how high is too high to swim in?

When to cut filter and pump off

I guess we will do a trial run to see how it works. Gonna try a night time rest and check things in the morning. I added our pool info to my signature, I hope it helps. Things are pretty faded outside and it's been in since 1994.

    Cloudy after Shock

I shocked our pool last night. Finally have some FC in the pool after weeks of 0. Our levels right now read: FC 2-3; ph 7.6; TA 90-100. I used a chemistry kit I had until my Taylor k-2006 FAS DPD kit comes in. Everything I am showing says all is ideal or in normal range. Why is the pool a little...

    Water Tested - Now What

Oh the length of the deep end rectangle is 25 width is 18. you have 18x25, when its actually 25x18

    Water Tested - Now What

See we were told to separate the pool into to rectangles and multiply by 7.5 separately. that gives us a totally different answer. Now I dont know what to believe. LxWxAvgDepx7.5 you are saying to add the two totals together then x by 7.5

    Water Tested - Now What

I am not sure how to put a signature on here but this is the info I know off hand: We have an In-Ground L-Shaped pool with Vinyl Liner. Hayward Sand Filter. After doing the LxWxAvg Depx7.5 our pool only holds 24,502 gallons. We were told 40,000. If you separate our pool into two rectangles they...
