    CH Test

Thanks, Marty. Tried the smaller sample with 4 drops of the 11L. Worked this time, calcium at 425. No idea why it worked with the smaller sample. My bad test wasn't a one time thing. Got the same "yellow" 3 times a week ago and thought maybe it was old chemicals so ordered 6-7 various ones...

    CH Test

Testing my calcium hardness, 25ml sample. Add the 20 drops R-0010, swirl, then 6 drops R-0011L. Turns SLIGHTLY red, not very much When I add the R-0012 it never changes to blue. Goes to a light shade of almost yellow and stays there. I thought it might be old chemicals so got a new batch...

    Calcium...Chloride or Carbonate

Thanks. I've never had an issue with getting the calcium chloride in larger quantities and when I search the website I use it only showed Carbonate. Not a chemist and had never heard of or noticed it so thought I'd ask. Now I know!

    Calcium...Chloride or Carbonate

Yes, I know, I don't get sucked into Leslies, Pinch A Penny et al.. If I translate your response correctly you are telling me to go buy de-icer and forget about it. Still don't know the answer to my question though....

    Calcium...Chloride or Carbonate

I can't find the forum search function so my apologies! It has to be here somewhere but I'll be darned if I can find it...I know this question has to be in here 50 times but.... Calcium Carbonate instead of Calcium Chloride for increasing calcium levels...yes or no? I know it isn't the same...

Not sure how my SWG System works...?

Yes, I understand it now. I wasn't aware of the 120-minute "rule" built into the system. Another missing piece to my pool puzzle!

Not sure how my SWG System works...?

Just for the record, I checked last night after the pool stopped running. There isn't any power to the Aqua Rite system after the time turns the pump off, dead as a doornail. Whatever that means. :)

Not sure how my SWG System works...?

I will say that with the old, larger pool that had a more updated Aqualogic system and of course a larger cell I ran it 6 hours in the winter, 8 in the summer. Less than 8 in the summer and I had issues. It wasn't in a cage so get some debris and was exposed to full sun all day long. Kids...

Not sure how my SWG System works...?

Thanks. I will check it when it finishes tonight. I THINK it shows the display after hours but now I am doubting myself. Maybe I am wrong. Don't tell my wife I said that. :)

Not sure how my SWG System works...?

Thanks. My everyday pool water check is the same. A look at the water for clarity, check a corner or two for signs of algae. Look across bottom for any debris. The pool is caged so I rarely find anything on the bottom. Assuming all is well I move on until my testing day on the weekend. If I...

Not sure how my SWG System works...?

Power out of the circuit breaker box to Timer and then one power cable to pump and one to Aqua Rite. Both on the timer. I do show AR20 settings when the timer is off. May be a connection that by passes the timer on/off or could be battery backup. I don't think it is a battery backup though.

Not sure how my SWG System works...?

Knowledge is power....and chlorine....! OK, my AR20 Revision is R1.45. An older Revision. So I am working with 120 minutes. Set at 50% I am an hour on and then an hour off. 75% gives 90 minutes on, 30 minutes off and so on. I should be aware of the cycles but I still control my FC by using...

Not sure how my SWG System works...?

Thanks Dirk. That makes sense to me. I will monitor it and see if I can determine the cycle. I guess I could call Heyward and ask but...that's not much fun. :)

Not sure how my SWG System works...?

New to me pool with Heyward Aqua Rite 20 chlorine generating system w/Heyward GLX-Cell 5 attached. My pool timer is an Intermatic "old school" yellow dial type which runs my pump only. My understanding is that the Aqua Rite Chlorine system % setting tells the chlorine cell to run for the...
