    Prefilter my filter

So I got a new pump and filter last year and it works great, though I've been having this one issue. Whenever the strainer gets full and it automatically turns back on, the strainer (most of the time) will flip causing all the debris to go into the pump. My guess is that once leaves and stuff...

    Discussion Topic - Wave Generator

Okay, so since installing my fountain, I want to see what else I can get into. Yesterday while I was in the pool with my kids, I started jumping alot and created some decent waves. So, I had a thought... It'd be really cool to make something to generate 1ft waves. Nothing dramatic... I don't...

Recommendations for seeing the bottom to vacuum

I suppose I'll have to go this route as well. The city says I need to install railings around the pool. I won't have side access anymore [emoji30]

Recommendations for seeing the bottom to vacuum

Anyone have any hints or tricks to better see the bottom when your vacuuming? I simply can't see through all the surface reflections.

Late opening but I have to say thank you

Plus it's fun to play in. The ball value also acts as a pressure control. Fully open it reaches to the middle but if I want a small fountain, I can open it half way. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

Late opening but I have to say thank you

Most likely. The weather is already calling for 100+ degree days. The pool is in full sun for around 9 hours, so I'm assuming the water will get up to around 85. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

Late opening but I have to say thank you

I had a late opening this year, just opened (June 5th). I decided to redo my plumping, so it took some time to complete. However, I need to say thank you to all on this forum that helped me out last year. Without your help, I wouldn't have had such a successful opening. All I had to add was a...

    Unions for Hayward System

Hey Kmaz the unions at Lowes look much bigger and I didn't see any with male threading. Are they schedule 40 or just regular unions? Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

    Unions for Hayward System

So doing some research on these unions, I've figured out that I'll need 4 of these Hayward Union Connectors (set Of 2) WG (SP1500UNPAK2) - INYOPools.com (2 - 2 packs) and 3 of Hayward 1 1/2spg) Union Wg (sp14953s) - INYOPools.com . Boy, just for the unions it will be very expensive.

    Unions for Hayward System

I'm attempting to convert my above ground pool plumbing to hard PVC. I'm having trouble trying to find unions that fit the outer thread on the pump, sand filter, strainer and return. Does anyone have an idea what type of unions (bushings) I can use? Also, I've seen several folks use ball...

    Pump maintenance

Well there's no capacitor, only a centrifugal switch. I was able to put some lithium grease on the springs to help loosen it. Now it hums for 10 secs then starts up. Woohoo. However I think I'm on borrowed time and the motor will need to be replaced the next time I turn it off. I guess for the...

    Pump maintenance

So I took off the back and front parts. Here is a pic behind the back cover: There's not much there. Looks like I need to go a bit further in. The good news though, the motor spindle moves freely and easily using a flat head. Any suggestions on what to do next?
