Reverse Osmosis

Aqualabz set up the RO system yesterday afternoon: 2012-06-22_18-05-15_818.jpg[/attachment:1z0x1wir] 2012-06-22_18-05-34_347.jpg[/attachment:1z0x1wir] It's a little noisier than a pool pump but not annoying. It produces water that's CH 20! It's...

PebbleSheen says TA should be 80-120

Re: Correct TA for pebblesheen Thanks, Jason. I guess BBB is some kind of cult from the point of view of the lamestream pool establishment; they just assume the use of trichlor pucks and don't even consider the possibility that some people don't use them.

    Reverse Osmosis

Aqualabz is scheduled to start 6/21 and finish 6/25, and I'll post the results afterward. I, too, had trouble with The Google. I found Calsaway right away but that was the only company that showed up despite many different searches. I couldn't believe it's the only company here, so I kept...

PebbleSheen says TA should be 80-120

I guess I am re-asking the OP's question, but I'm confused. According to TFP's "Water Balance for SWGs" webpage, TA should be 60-80. PebbleTec's support webpage for PebbleSheen says TA should be 80-120. My Pentair Intellichlor manual says TA should be 80-120. Are PebbleTec and Pentair...

    Any regrets?

Very possible. I bought an Intellichlor dummy pass-through so next winter I'll remove the SWG to prevent calcium buildup. The SWG doesn't function in cold water but the calcium still built up last winter.

    Any regrets?

I have a hard time answering this question because after a year I'm still not sure if I like mine or not. My city water is very hard (CH 300-400), so the SWG builds up calcium really quickly. Every 2-3 months I have to remove it (big PITA) and soak the plates in diluted muriatic acid. I...

    Reverse Osmosis

My city tap water CH is 300-400  so the empty-and-refill method is pointless. I researched pool water reverse osmosis in the Phoenix area and found only two companies. Calsaway uses a truck-mounted self-powered high-pressure RO system that takes 1-2 days...

    summerizing

I would appreciate advice on how to summerize my spa. Here in AZ there's no reason to keep it running June, July, Aug when air temp is too hot to enjoy a spa. I drained the tub, but I'm wondering about the remaining water in the plumbing, just sitting there all summer with who knows what...
