    Re: Pump run time recommendation

Re: Pump run time recommendation So as long as I run it while adding chlorine, technically I could run it in the evening for an hour or two to skim the top and thats it? WOW.... My wife will love me when the light bill arrive. I'll try this to see if the pool stay clean enough. I understand...

    Re: Pump run time recommendation

Re: Pump run time recommendation Ok so after reading the Run time recommendation article... I'm thinking I should rethink my run time this season. I originally thought that it needed to be running if there was sunlight in the pool but I chlorinate by adding it directly into the skimmer and the...

Startup? What Startup? NO STARTUP after BBB!!!!!!!!!!

Ohhhh Yes! I had spent that much nearly 10x over trying to get it right. Without the CYA I was throwing darts in the dark. Very pleased with the Kit and the method. Honestly I usually use Muriatic Acid to control PH and Bleach to add Chlorine. Thats the two things I use anymore. Sooo...

Startup? What Startup? NO STARTUP after BBB!!!!!!!!!!

Hey guys! Long time no see! Last year I joined to get answers and help with my large in ground pool. I had let it go over the winter and it was a total mess come spring last year. I wasted tons of money getting pool stored until I found this place and switched to BBB. Long story short...

Should I bring cya down more?

Oh I guess I misread it. Here's my chlorine loss test result. Fc-8.0 this a.m. was 8.8 last night... is this normal or do I still have some algae? Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk

Should I bring cya down more?

So I found the chart Again. I must raise to 20ppm and hold it there. I can't run it any lower than 5 ppm which is fine cause I usually run 7-9ppm. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk

Should I bring cya down more?

Jb I think that's the answer. I think I'm just not totally killing it off and it comes back real easy once the level drops. I'll get on that. I just didn't have time to"maintain"when I slammed it Sunday after finding algae Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk

Should I bring cya down more?

I add a gallon to 2 gallons every 3-4 depending on bather load, rain etc... but I've gotten algae several time so I knock it out with 3 or so gallons, vacuum to waste the next day and refill with fresh water to top it off. Idk maybe my problem is because I'm not adding a little daily. I'm adding...

Should I bring cya down more?

Ok long story short, started this year with sky high cya [150]due to trichlor. Converted to BBB. Replaced allot of water[ 80%] and got it down to 70. I've been running the pool at 7-9ppm chlorine since then. It's been beautiful with no problems except... I find that if I don't add chlorine...

First Algae bloom since converting to BBB

Ok so I'll just get more bleach. I can't test so I think 5 more gallons over a couple days should take our plenty high enough and keep it there. Even with full Sun for almost 12 hours everyday, it doesn't seem to lose much chlorine but I don't have a reading to compare. Sent from my...

First Algae bloom since converting to BBB

And without reagents and the ability to test, I had to blindly shock it with bleach and handle it with my eyes. I should be good to go once the chlorine drops Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk

First Algae bloom since converting to BBB

It was high when I opened the pool this year so I replaced 80% of the water. My last measurement was about 60 and I've added allot more fresh water since with rain and hose after evaporation. I didn't follow the slam procedure Per say. More of a shock. I don't have a big enough issue to slam...
