Did you get to see the best fireworks on St. Simons in years, Vince? We got covered in firework debris but it was still a good show.

I read that a pool noodle will fall apart over time.. I use flip flops with the feet zip tied to the straps to keep them in place. I have 1" foam under mine and it will leave an indention if you don't put something down.. not sure if that could lead to more serious problems down the road.

Thanks Stump, I think I'll go ahead and order the test strips and give it a shot once everything seems to be on target for a while.

Ok, I think I'm done, here's the results from this morning: FC - 11 (down from 12 last night) CC - .5 pH - 7.5 TA - 100 CH - 110 CYA - 35 I don't have any borate test strips so I'm going to the store to let them test so I can get a borates reading. What would be the next step to get things in...

FC went up to 14 last night, and 11.5 this morning. Added a little more to bring it back up to 12. CC is at .5 and the water is looking really clear. Just waiting to pass the OCLT!

Ok thanks! I poured a gallon of 8.25% bleach in and an hour and a half later I'm at 13.5ppm. Will test a couple more times through the night, thanks again guys!

If I do the SLAM process, looking at the chart I want FC at about 12.. How often should I check and add chlorine to maintain that 12?

The water looks a little cloudy, not horrible but not crystal clear. I've only added chlorine since the pool has been up. And yes, just estimating.. landed between 30 and 40, more towards the 30 side. Pool store test showed 34 last Friday.

Sorry I didn't grab a pic before it got dark. I mean the pool liner has a seam on the wall where the two ends meet and in the instructions it says to get that seam straight up and down. I thought I had it perfect, then I turned on the shop vac to get the liner tight and now the seam is about 2...

Should I be concerned about the wall seam on the liner not being perfect? Everything looks great otherwise and it was level before I started filling.
