    Leaking Return Fitting

Can you have someone help you and have them put their hand over the hole after you remove the fitting? Then keep it there until you have your new fitting ready to install? The water pressure on the fitting hole won’t be much.

Ok thanks. I feel better :)

Bulge in liner right on upright

So it is normal for there to be a bulge with smooth bolt heads on the liner side? The bulge does appear to be smooth, so I take it the bolt heads are protruding out and that is what I feel.

I will try to get some pics today. Thanks for the water compliment too :)

Bulge in liner right on upright

Hey all, I am on year three of an oval AB pool installed by Pool and Spa Depot. Yesterday I noticed a vertical bulge in the liner, running up and down an upright that is right next to the return and skimmer. I have no idea if it has always been there or if it showed up over the winter. I called...

Cloudy water, running pump 24/7 for over 3 weeks

Lowering high TA can take a TON of acid and a lot of time. My fill water in Texas has TA over 400 and every fresh fill takes almost 10 gallons of acid. When it’s real high, the acid seems to barely make a dent but once it starts to get down, say, around 150-175, it does start to drop more quickly.

Lost half inch of water overnight without leaks

I think I found the cause, I think. Last night I stopped the pump to check something and water started pouring out of the skimmer. The pool has been very full do to rain and it appears the fullness causes some back pressure and forces water up and out of the skimmer. The night I had water loss...

Deck around pool and skimmer cover?

Hey all, resurrecting this thread as I’m about to deck around my AGP. I know how I’m going to do it, but I’m curious if I’ll regret it years from now if I have to do any major maintenance on the filter. Replacing the media (using glass), plumbing maintenance. The filter will be accessible but it...

Lost half inch of water overnight without leaks

That must be it then. The filter is definitely not leaking. Ground all around the pool is dry. The pool water is 68-70 and last nights low was 50~ Thanks all for the replies. This place always has very helpful members. I appreciate yall and will scrape the board for posts I may be able to help...

Lost half inch of water overnight without leaks

Thanks for the replies. It was 80 and sunny yesterday, then about 50 last night. I suppose any daytime evaporation may not show until the next day? The water is probably 68-70. It is a fresh fill, about two weeks in. I am in middle Tennessee. Pretty muggy here.

Lost half inch of water overnight without leaks

New AGP, and lost some water overnight with no signs of any leaks. Last night I brushed it for the first time, back washed it to get some water out (was full to the point that surface skimming wasn't possible), and messed with some pool steps. So needless to say I was very nervous when I saw the...

Possible TFP CYA chart discrepancy for SWG?

@mgtfp Perfect explanation, thanks so much!

Possible TFP CYA chart discrepancy for SWG?

The TFP CYA chart says the recommended CYA level for a SWG pool is minimum 70. The SLAM chart says that the FC level for a SLAM with this level of CYA is 28, and that this level of CYA isn't recommended (due to the high required levels of FC). Is that 'not recommended' clause just for non-SWG...

Cutting into 3-1 slope for AGP

Thanks again for all the replies, and for your patience. It has taken me a few days to get back to this thread. My excavator came back out and he agreed with you in that he should build up the pad some so that we end up with a more conservative "retaining wall". Our soil is mostly clay and not...
