I keep finding that the float in my skimmer is sucked into down position. Is this due to too much air in the line?

Could be worth a try. There is no water leaking just air so if it can seal enough to stop air from getting sucked in...

I do get a lot of gurgling in the heater

My best guess is at the top of the valve with the union on it.

Here are some pictures of the equipment pad. You can see that most of the fittings are practically touching each other and they didn’t use any unions on the pump.

That’s what I figured. I was hoping maybe it would stop some of the air from getting in temporarily until I have some free time to try and replace the valve. It was a real pain getting it in there because they didn’t leave any space for couplings anywhere.

I think I found it. Unfortunately it looks like something that I did. I think the valve that I added is the problem. I think it’s the seal on the valve at the top. That’s why closing it makes no difference. Do you think adding glue around the top might work?

I’ll try the hose trick tonight. The weir door is good. Skimmer is not swirling. At low speeds I lose water. At a higher speed not so much. Thanks

No. They never did. I decided to have them just do anything so they could go away. I have already lubed up the O ring real good. It should have a good seal. It’s possible there could be a hairline crack or something. I did install a new valve while the pool was down which was a tight...
