    Power cord is HOT

Since you are having the electrician back tomorrow to check voltage, amperage, and temperature, it would also be a good idea to have him verify it is wired for the voltage you have available.

    Power cord is HOT

Agree with the above, I read an owners manual for an og-powerline xp pump assembly. Don't know if this is yours or not, but if so it says it has thermal protection. Have you read owners manual and can you verify that? if so you would know it is getting to hot, it will shut off and then...

    Power cord is HOT

Southwire Digital 600-Volt Clamp Meter Item # 464290 Model # 21010N $39.98 at lowes, but the kill-a-watt meter is probably easier to use and not mess up...did either electrician check the volts and amps... they are...

    Power cord is HOT

"The power use would not go up but the lack of flow would cause the motor to overheat because water flow helps cool the motor." from post 36 The above is a false statement. The water cools the pump, not the motor. Is it the motor or pump that is getting hot? post 11 states the pump...

    Fill pool on well water?

I agree 100% with what you are saying, did not mean to infer otherwise, only meant to add my experiences, but if the only people chiming in are anti well, how will someone with a well make an informed decision? With that said, the following is mine and only my opinion. I guess I forgot to add...

Please help the dummy out again!

did you close the valve going to the skimmer? if not since water is below skimmer level, it will suck air and not prime.

Chlorine made pool water turn brown

I too have well water. I too use some product (i think it was called metal out, not sure as we filled pool last year) I read on here how it keeps it in solution and have remained silent. However, my results are the same as your pictures, It coagulates together allowing for it to be filtered...

    Dismantling an Above Ground Pool

I helped a friend dismantle, load and unload a 27 foot round pool. Him and I were able to put it in the back of a pickup. I am in my 50's, and he is in his 60's. It wasnt too bad, we did back the pickup close to avoid carrying it.
