How to store Loop-Loc pool cover and keep safe from mice/rodents, etc.?

My pool expert recommends getting a Toter garbage bin and storing it in there. They’re heavy duty, well made and he hasn’t had an animal chew through one yet.

    What's your current pool temp?

I sure hope so -- we did a pile of renovations this year so I let the pool company do the closing. I figure if they break it, it's their problem in the spring... The temperature probe right now is "just" in bare pipe; the piping was drained so it's empty. I hope ;)

    MasterTemp 400 - normal behavior?

Rule #1.. check your levels! Specifically, your water levels. I was a little low, due to nightly evaporation (it's been cold at night...) - added some water, and all is well. Heater running perfectly without cycling. Duh!

    MasterTemp 400 - normal behavior?

Hi folks! Recent pool build with brand new MasterTemp 400 installed... finally got the final inspection done on the gas line (60 feet of 1.5" black pipe) and the meter upsized by the gas company (PSE&G). So everything seems to be running just fine ... what I can't determine, however, is if...

Large covered patio wall need suggestions/ideas

Well, I'm a lifelong Yankee fan so I snapped the photo just a second too late after they announced the winning team's lineup ;-) But yes - I'd 100% go with a TV on that wall. Having said that ..... the TV on our fireplace is from SunBriteTV - totally outdoor rated, all-weather...

    Houston pools

We had a liner lift during Hurricane Irene. It then ripped away from the coping and tore. Insurance wouldn't cover anything, as groundwater caused the float, and insurance doesn't cover groundwater damage. Fun times.

Large covered patio wall need suggestions/ideas

I have to agree with the TV idea .... we just finished a bunch of backyard renovations and just LOVE watching TV out here!

    Sonos!!!

I have an almost identical setup, except that there's also another dozen Sonos devices around my home. Love my Sonos. Anyway, a Connect:Amp with those Freespaces will sound incredible! And yes - just hookup the output on your TV to the input on the Sonos, and you're good to go. I did...

akaCarioca's outdoor kitchen - looking for input

Nothing wrong with building the kitchen out of metal framing and board. Ours is built from aluminum studs and durock cement board (same stuff you'd use under a bathroom tile floor, for example.). After it was all framed out, they just applied a cultured stone veneer to it. Looks great and much...

    Full-up renovation, northern NJ

Hey Jim! We went back and forth with what kind of stone to use, and decided on the XL. I REALLY love the larger stone look; it just works for us. So, I'll do you one better on photos; I flew my yesterday and took some overhead video. Threw in my builder's website and logo - he did a great...

Pool builder on news tonight in Houston, "nightmare pool build"

One of the things I loved about our pool renovator/landscaper/backyard overhaul genius is that he proposes a series of "gates". As certain project milestones were completed, a reasonable payment was made. For example: - Project start - Demo completion - Plumbing installation - Coping...

    Full-up renovation, northern NJ

Thanks Jim! There's a lot more interesting photos on the way.. just waiting for the last details to be finished - hopefully today (new glass railings on the deck, granite countertops on the outdoor kitchen etc.)... and we should have new furniture by the end of the week as well; then we can...
