I live in Central California and have been using the BBB method since I last year after I just purchased the house. Can you guys talk me out of not switching back to Tablets. Our weather has been over 100 and will reach 107 tomorrow and I cannot keep my chlorine levels up with this intensive...

I am in CA and in the middle of 111 degree heat. What do you guys recommend I should keep my FC levels at? I have been trying to keep around 5 but thinking I should go higher? Is there anything else I should watch out for? Tomorrow is supposed to be 114. Man O man is HOT!

My pool is right around 23000 gallons from my rough estimate. My numbers on Sunday were: FC 2.5 PH 7.4 CH 240 TA 120 I was trying to get the TA down so I dropped the PH to 7.4 or lower as per the calculator recommendations.

All of my other numbers are right in line with the Calculator.

This is probably has been discussed but my SO is asking me why are we buying so much bleach when to her Chlorine would end of costing the same amount and less time. Right now in the Central Valley we are averaging 90 degree plus days and I am going through bleach like no other. Please help me...

I seem the same stuff at Lowes. Now it was called chlorinating liquid but did not say bleach. Now the ingreidents say the same as bleach with 10% so I am wondering if it is the same as bleach or something else

I was just at lowes and could not find any 12.5%. Is it called outdoor bleach under lowes brand. Now they have chlorinating liquid 10% in the pool section for right under $7.00 for two gallons. Will check out osh as well.

How is Costco for Bleach cost? I have been buying at Target and it was around 2.59 a gallon for 8.25. Went over to Walmart as I was running low and it was Dang near 3.00 for 8.25. I live in California and do not have a Menards. I know Home Depot was right around $3.00 as well.

Well my FC yesterday was 7 and todays test was 5. My PH is at 7.4. I guess I didn't know I was doing a shock process. When I refilled the pool by FC was at 2.0 so I added bleach as per the calculator.

Yeah CYA was 40!!! That was worth all of the trouble of draining

Is there a reason my combine chlorine would be so high and my free chlorine was so low when we did a 50% water change?

Unless I did the test wrong. I used the smaller sample and when I added the drops it barely turned color. I put one drop in and it turned clear. So I multiplied .5x1 and i did add it wrong. I have .5 of CC

Ok I had enough to test but some other numbers today were higher. FC 11 CC .25 PH 8.0+ a little on the purple side CYA 40 So it looks like I need to add some Muratic Acid to the pool. Any other thoughts?

Well I have tested it 3x and I do not think I have enough in the Taylor kit to test again so I have ordered more.
