The products I used were the regular old Clorox I could get my hands on, Clorox shock I used courtesy of a friend (which I would not have used under normal circumstances), a couple bottles of Flock to settle after my last major scooping attempts, and just now some stabilizer and Muriatic Acid...

And now the progress. Starting to look like a pool. Sort of. 24 hour a day pump run time a 100% necessity. And 17 long days of scrubbing, scooping and shocking later, here we are.

Needless to say, it didn't look good. Supplies were scarce. But I embarked on SLAMing the pool as best I could with limited info. My old TFT Test kit was toast, so I ordered another. It was supposed to be a 2-day delivery. On Day 5 it was lost in regional USPS purgatory and it finally ended...

I live in a heavily wooded area and have a pretty large pool. I also have 3 young kids, 2 of whom are now competent swimmers. Just between being busy and not having everyone in the household capable of swimming, we haven't opened the pool in over 4 years. I honestly wanted to get it filled in...

I'm getting the 404 too. Can anyone who is getting access tell me what adding 48 oz by volume of dichlor to a 50,000 gallon pool will bring the FC level up to? My algae problem is back and I need to shock ASAP.
