The plug has a slit in it to where you can put the cords in the plug without cutting the bond wire or having to redo the light cord. Then when you push it into the conduit hole it compression fits. I think I will also put a light coat of putty over the plug and around the hole for backup. - - -...

Question, we are installing the plug today into the pool light nich conduit hole to seal the leak. my question is, should I use a marine epoxy to seal the plug or light coat of pool putty over it or just push it in and let it compression fit and hold itself?

(update.) pool leaking very slow still and water level is about 2 inches above pool light conduit connection hole. will be installing this. - - - Updated - - - anyone building a new pool with a light I would highly suggest watching this video and have it done to your light connection. also...

(Update.) letting pool leak down to where it will stop to have it inspected. For past 3 days it is leaking very slow so I am guessing it is getting close to stopping.

I agree. fingers crossed it is a simple light fixture leak.

update. scuba diver had to reschedule due to a equipment issue. I was to be present. I also have myself on the schedule for a pool leak detection company for Aprill 11 if it comes to that. The water level has now went to below returns and hasn't stopped so the light fixture is all that's left...

update: pool has leaked down to bottom of return fittings. scuba diver coming out today at 2pm to inspect liner and the light fixture.

If it was the skimmer line why would the water line drop 2" below the skimmer?

Update, pool guy come and we decided to let water level drop to where it will stop and see if the light is the culprit. I have been running the pool by main drain only with skimmer shut off and it seems to loose water slower than when equipment is off and all returns and skimmer plugged.

the pool guy I hope will check all those possibilities in the morning. I hope it is that simple. thanks...
