having to be at my pool hourly until it is clear is not trouble free in my opinion. I am not lost on all of this. I get it. I just don't have the time to clean it. I thought it would be easier, but it requires an immense amount of devotion. I understand that once clean, everything will go much...

Thanks Beens, The bigger issue at this point is that if free chlorine is going to be exhausted that extensively due to the amount of organics in the water column, I will not be able to maintain the shock level. I just don't have the time to put forth. I can not guarantee that at any given point...

The details are in the thread. But. Above ground. Vinyl liner. 15ft across. 4ft deep. It's roughly 10 years old. I don't know that the liner has been ever replaced. I bought the house and the swamp was already here. I tried to save the water but I see now that I simply don't have the time to...

I tried to step back. I live 20 minutes from misquamicut beach. This is to much to figure out over what's basically a kiddie pool.

At this point, I am just going to throw in the towel. I don't have the time to devote nor the patience to deal with it. Grass is easier and the beach is free. Thank you for the suggestions but I guess this pool thing isn't for me.

Test was an electronic test at pool store. Not a national chain like leslies, a mom and pop shop. What should my target be? I thought the target for shock level was 10x CC?

Yes, both read less than 1. Total chlorine is .13. Test results below. TC - .13 FC - .06 CC - .07 Alk - 33 PH - 7.4 CH - 105 CYA - 3 Pool is 15x4 round AG. Around 5000 gallons. Pool is green. Like I said, it was black. But I was curious to how the shock is going to work if my FC is...

Hi. Total newb here. I'm trying to wrap my head around some things. I bought a house with a neglected pool. Trying to clean it up without draining. Made a little progress as pool was black and is now greenish. I replaced the sand in the filter as well. My question is in regards to slam. My test...
