Yup just did exactly that, I asked them to hold off on shipping until I call them in the morning. Wish I saw this posted in the bottom before ordering. I happen to be coming down there tomorrow and will only be about an hour from the store. 3 year manufacturer warranty when picked up in our...

    Feedback on Pentair Intelliflo3 VSF

so I just read through this line here. I have friends and family that are general contractor. I wouldn't have a problem with having them write me a workorder. *Note: Qualified Installer - Defined as a licensed professional who charges a fee for his services, and possesses a business license...

    Feedback on Pentair Intelliflo3 VSF

Thanks Jim, I will buy what's most efficient based on everyone's experience. Before this I was just combing through some threads about 1.5" plumbing, many recommend that at the pad, I can convert the 1.5" plumbling to 2" and leaving the underground plumbing the way it is. I think this is what...

My plumbing is only 1.5" and my current pump is 1.5hp. With the smaller diameter plumbing, would I benefit from the 3hp once reduced from 2 to 1.5?

    Feedback on Pentair Intelliflo3 VSF

I have a perfectly working Hayward VSP pump. However, what lacks is my ability to control it remotely. This is at my AirBNB and my pump is required to run at minimum speed to trigger the heater 24/7. The only reason I'm considering the Intelliflo3 is the Wifi capability w/o the need of an...

Looking for a way to control heater remotely

get the 50mm that's roughly 2 inches that should get the probe pass the opening. As for power, the heater is a 110v, I don't remember the sonoff is 12v or USB but whatever it was I know i just tapped into the existing AC power inside the heater. no additional power needs to brought there if...

Can the plunger type backwash valve be replaced with another style?

I was going to say, this is our first pool and I've only experienced with DE filter but the thing I hate most is such a mess it makes when backwashing. At least using Sand I can just dump it onto the lawn or dirt area. Sand appearing to be the cheapest of the bunch and cheap to replace so I do...

Can the plunger type backwash valve be replaced with another style?

My current filter is a 48 sq ft DE, if I went with a Cartridge filter, something like a Pentair 420 should do the trick right? As for Sand Filter, the second to the largest Hayward is a 27". Cost is more than half of a DE filter. Seems like many of you like the sand filters. I don't mind...

Can the plunger type backwash valve be replaced with another style?

I've been doing a little reading and it seems DE filters out perform a catridge filter. As they say, don't believe everything you read on the internet. For about $200 I can replace the valve, I'm wondering if it's worth spending the $1500 or so to replace the entire filter. Any expert here...

Yes it appears to be. So replace it with a Catridge filter then?

Can the plunger type backwash valve be replaced with another style?

My Pentair DE filter have the plunger type backwash valve. I replaced the entire plunger and o ring but for some reason I get little leaks coming out of it. I'm just going to replace the entire valve assemble and was wondering if there is a "better" option out there.
