Hi, I am in the process of balancing my water. My original TA was 300 and so far by following the acid/airation method I have added 400g in total of acid and it is still only on 140. What would be the normal amount to have to add altogether to get the TA from 300-100. My tub holds a 1000ltrs...

Ok i get all of this but what i am referring to is part 2 of the How do use bromine in my spa thread where is says to shock the spa (maybe this is worded wrong and just means oxidise the bromide with chlorine to get the bromine level up straight away rather than waiting for the tablets to start...

Thanks but what is the level of bromine i should be aiming for for initial shocking after fresh fill and for weekly shocking (if necessary). Thank Dan

Hi, I am a little unsure on the shocking stage after u have filled ur spa with fresh water. You put the sodium bromide in and add an oxidiser to turn this into bromine but my question is how many ppm bromine reading should I be aiming for it does say u should get a reading of over 10ppm but...

Hi I know that u can use baking soda to raise ta but i already have a tub of ta increase will this raise ph as well? Also am i correct that ph increaser will raise ta and that u need to use borax cause im in the UK and we don't have borax and i don't know what the equivalent is.
