Sounds like the programming is configured for a circulation pump. Verify the dip switches are in the correct positions for the equipment you have.

How old exactly is the ace cell? Sounds like the cell is bad just from your description.

It probably would not be noticeable as the water will run down the backside of the spa shell. Use a paper towel or rag and wipe it on the bottom of the light lens from inside the equipment area.

One problem area to check on the older models is the light lens. In the equipment area, remove the black LED light housing which is located behind the IQ2020 control box. If it is a slow leak and it seems to come from underneath, a leak coming from the lens will follow the contour of the shell...

That would be the jet pump for the therapy jets. It works independently of the circulation system.

That is the circulation pump which pumps water through the heater and will close the flow switch if working properly. Sounds like your pump had pumped its last days.

Most manufacturers install a check valve after the blower. There is no need to remove it unless you really want to.

There should be a thermowell for the probe to sit in, or it may attach to the heater in some way. The thermowells are typically located in a 90° elbow...

Check to see if the ozonator is still plugged into the circuit board. It should be disconnect unless you have a high bather load.

Check for kinks/blockage of the ozone tubing. The check valve can also fail completely sealing itself shut. The ozone injector can clog as well.

I would stick with the standard filters. Although, the Tri-X are supposed to filter better. Kind of like a sand filter, when they get dirty they filter better.
