1st test results from TF 100 help

Ok..so theoretically you should be around 20. Every puck you add, adds more cya. You can never tell how much so we try not to use them. We use bleach for chlorine additions.. much easier to be accurate and we're not adding anything else. Plus it's much cheaper in the long run... Bleach...

1st test results from TF 100 help

Ok so you've got some, just don't know how much at the moment... According to pool math 1/2 gal would be about 10 cya... so if you truly started at 0, then you should be close to 10. Still need to raise it to about 30 but I would go in steps until you get there... Painfully slow since it could...

New pool owner in AZ with new TF-100 kit

CYA is a tad on the high side for an SWG... Would like to see that in the 70 range... FC is way low. Check out the CYA link in my sig for recommended levels

Re: Can overflow really handle the rain?

Re: Can overflow really handle the rain? I would do what they suggested for the time being then make them fix the problem. Tell them this is unacceptable and they need to remedy the situation...Especially if rain is an issue where you are

I Fear I May Lose the Battle!

Getting the crud off the bottom should very high priority... If you give the algae a place to live, you can slam until you are blue in the face... Clean the slate for the best results... Leaf vacuum, brush, get in and scoop it out... what ever you need to do

Trouble with CYA test - water remains clear

It is but we recommend putting it in front of the jet... disperses better that way Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

Pool Update - The Eagle Has Landed

Could be possible.. If you have sand under the liner, the leaking water could be displacing the sand... long shot but maybe.. Keep an eye on your return after you backwash... if you have cracked lateral, the sand may shoot out right after a backwash.. If it does then its time to tear that...

Trouble with CYA test - water remains clear

IF your result is clear, then you have little to no CYA in the water.. Your reagent is definitely old so you prolly wont get conclusive results

    Where to start before SLAM

Yep... tube sock type 1 each... Tie it off in front of the return and let it flop around until it dissolves..

Green pool, SWG broken - advise on how to maintain pool until SWG is fixed.

Once you are tfp you can run your pump whenever you need to. Just make sure it turns over the capacity once a day... so 3000 gph pump will turn over 12000 gallons in 4 hours or so... run it for a 4-5 a day total and you'll be good.. keep an eye on the fc Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

    So excited!

Youll be much happier with sand.. I used to have them carts that vanish from walmart mid summer... hated them.. hated knowing I was going to have to buy like 15 or more just to make it thru....
