Raypak Millivolt 206 for 27' above ground pool?

See, I am looking to go from 76 to 80 degrees, not raise the temp of the pool by 15+ degrees. I am going to have a plumber come out and give an estimate on a 1/2" line vs a 1.5" line. Maybe I can compromise at a 250k heater or so. Chris

Raypak Millivolt 206 for 27' above ground pool?

I don't have the room on the house and my shed is too small. I am also unsure of my tolerance for their appearance. Has anyone used this size heater on this size pool? Chris

Raypak Millivolt 206 for 27' above ground pool?

I am heading into a second season of my 17k gallon 27' round pool. Even though I have a solar cover and get sun for most of the day, it always appeared that the pool was a few degrees too cool. I already have a 1/2" gas line near the pool for a grill. I was looking at the Raypak millivolt...

    I think I am done?

I am a little confused why my 25k SWG on a 17K pool is keeping the chlorine at 8 with it set to 15%. Is it because I am keeping it covered and not using it much? Is the SWG constantly "on" when water is flowing? Is my chlorine high at such a low setting since I run my pump 24x7? What does...

    I think I am done?

So the family swam the first time this weekend in the pool, it was pretty cold at 72 degrees. Right now my CYA is 70, the pH is 7.4 and the FC is 8.6. It was interesting, the next day I could see the CC was .5 but the day after that it went back down to 0 while the FC held at 8.6. My SWG is...

    qucik question on pool walls

Put a level on your uprights, both side to side and in and out, I bet some of these are out of alignment. Secondly, All your uprights are not perfectly in the same plane. I just had a 27' pool installed and the wall was wrinkled like you are experiencing and the installers by simply lowering...

    How much CYA?

My tapwater does not contain chlorine. I tested both diluted and non-diluted since it seemed that I was near the top of the kit (5ppm) measurement range. Why should I have ordered the 2006 kit, care to elaborate? Jason, thanks, I will let it sit and see how it goes. Thanks for the help. Chris

    How much CYA?

I tested the pool again this morning after leaving the SWG off for 12 hours. I had to dilute the sample in half with tap water. The FC is now 4 and the CC is 0 confirmed by my wife :) pH is still sitting at 7.6 Besides adding more CYA, what are my next steps? The water is still a bit...

    How much CYA?

Jason, I just pulled these figures from the manual of my Aqua Rite SWG. I will buy more CYA and see what my FC looks like tomorrow morning. Thanks!

    How much CYA?

My Taylor test kit came tonight and I measured the following results: FC 3 TC 5 CC 2 pH 7.6 acid demand 2 drops dropped pH to 7.2 TA 70ppm CH 90ppm CYA 40ppm So it looks like I need to increase my TA with 120oz of baking soda and 529 oz of calcium chloride to increase my CH (I think I will...

    How much CYA?

Interesting results this morning, the CYA was up and the pH is down. Also my FC was 3, so I guess the SWG has enough output to chlorinate the pool? I am running my 2 speed pump on low-speed 24 hours a day. I will test the water this evening and turn off the SWG and see what the results are in...

    How much CYA?

Signature updated. I have only added 5 pounds of CYA, it sounds like I should lower my PH, add 2-3 more pounds of CYA, make sure I can get the FC up to 3 and let it sit for a week or so? Why won't the SWG be able to produce the chlorine by itself? What does the "shock" setting do on my SWG...
