Thanks! Can you elaborate on what this is referring to?

    OmniLogic one-month review

I'm not sure exactly what you mean by: ...but I have my OmniLogic control panel connected directly to my router via wired ethernet (i.e. Cat5 connection), and don't have any connectivity issues myself.

    OmniLogic one-month review

Is anyone connecting the OmniLogic to any sort of external automation system? I'm in the process of looking at some options for outdoor lighting, and I would like to coordinate it with the pool controls, but I don't think I want to use the Omnilogic interface itself to control the lighting (too...

NEW Blue Surf Pebble Sheen color

Glass beads are different (and more expensive) than shells. My understanding is that there are 2 classes of Pebble Sheen color options, the "base" colors, and "premium" colors. The premium colors include shells in the mix. You can add shells, or beads, to any finish (base or premium) if you...

NEW Blue Surf Pebble Sheen color

That doesn't sound right. There are some pebble sheen colors that are extra cost because they include shells, but blue surf isn't one of them (at least as of last fall when we did it). You should ask them to confirm that, and/or possibly call PebbleTec themselves - I'm sure they won't give you...

    Omnilogic Questions

Make sure you get the "networked" versions of the ColorLogic lights. The Omnilogic panel currently doesn't talk directly to the networked lights (so technically it doesn't matter right now), but they have plans to add an expansion module that will add that capability. (at least as of last fall...

Pool Renovation Project - MA (pics and video)

Interesting. I'm (pretty?) sure all our inside gas work is fine, but we did pull a permit for the firepit install, and the inspector never set foot inside the house. I was actually around yesterday when he stopped by for the final inspection, and he only looked at the firepit / the new piping...

Pool Renovation Project - MA (pics and video)

Sure. Luckily we had *just* enough capacity left on the existing gas line feeding the pool heater so we were able to tap off of that. So it was a relatively short line, like 15 foot or so (down, underground, and up). But with that said, we still paid over $1000 for the plumber to come out...

Pool Renovation Project - MA (pics and video)

Natural gas line (as well as a conduit for the LED light) was run underground while we were doing the decking. The company that makes the inserts (HPC) also can configure them as propane, so that could be an option too, but obviously you'd need a much larger access panel for the tank. We have...

Pool Renovation Project - MA (pics and video)

Firepit top installed today. Here are some pics, and a video of the flames in action! Very happy with how it came out. Will be adding an LED light strip in that channel under the granite top, maybe in the spring.... And a slo-mo video of the flames: A2WxaDcSLks And a regular one...

Questions about chemical balancing with new plaster installed ~35 days before closing

Fair enough - sounds like a reasonable plan. I'll keep an eye on that after I close... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Questions about chemical balancing with new plaster installed ~35 days before closing

I suppose - it just seems like kind of a hassle (maybe I exaggerated a bit there). In all reality, I might be convinced to check occasionally, but there's no way I'd be out there very often pulling the cover back, tweaking the levels, brushing, etc. What would you suggest I use as a threshold...

Questions about chemical balancing with new plaster installed ~35 days before closing

Loop Loc cover- and snow could be any time, but I wouldn't expect it any time soon (plan to close in a week or so). Pulling back the cover to grab some water to test is feasible, but brushing the bottom would be a *massively* inconvenient undertaking. I would seriously hope I wouldn't need to...

Pool Renovation Project - MA (pics and video)

Thanks! No designer. One of the "benefits" of an existing pool is there are many fewer degrees of freedom. The pool shape was existing, but we did grow the deck a bunch from the old footprint. We originally were thinking about concrete pavers, but one of the pool builders suggested we look...
