    First go of algae using TFP

    Lost 2.5 FC overnight, so I returned the pool to an FC level of 12 at 7am this morning before work. Got home to a FC of 7 at 4pm. Not losing FC fast enough to see a drop in 30 minutes, so should I just keep bring it back to shock level until I pass an overnight test? Sent from my SM-G900P...

    New to the TFP method this season. Everything was going along fine until today. Just pulled my cover to find green algae, I guess my first step is a SLAM right? FC = 1.5 CC = 0.5 pH = 7.8 TA = 120 CH = 100 CYA = 30 I have had plenty of readings like this before, just not sure why algae now...

    Gas Line Had my gas line installed this week. A 1" PE line from the meter roughly 75' to the heater. Guy used a Vermeer plow and trench combo machine, so once he got it started, it easily slight the soil and pulled the pipe in. Not a ton of restoration needed. Anyone in Chicago looking for...

    When to open above ground pool in Illinois

    I have always waited to Memorial Day weekend, never had a "Swamp" as others caution you about. As you can tell from this past week and the forecast for the next week, it is not exactly swimming weather. Why open it and pay for electricity to run a pump for 2 weeks while the temps are in the 60s?
