New EVO 614i Robot Pool Cleaner Review

Jim, I think best way is using standard filter regularly then once a week or 2, use the fine filter to catch the leftover dust. Reasoning is that Water has to go through the filter so less unnecessary resistance on the motor might help extend its life…just a guess, not too sure of how having...

    Warrior SE died what's next

I'm going to wish you the best of luck! Couple weeks ago I removed the motor, cleaned it then carefully sealed it up with silicone grease on O-rings- worked great for a week, then it started to trip the breaker every run. I think water got inside the motor. I decided it wasn't worth the time...

New EVO 614i Robot Pool Cleaner Review

you thinking it might be a waste to have 2 types of filter? it's $50 not cheap, I could still cancel the regular filter...not sure how much better for leaves (and drag/longevity) vs. using the fine filter. If anyone has tested or compared them in action please let us know.

New EVO 614i Robot Pool Cleaner Review

I just ordered EVO 640iQ as well, with an additional filter. I think it makes sense to use the fine filter for dust maybe once every 2 weeks, but use the standard for daily cleaning of leaves.

New EVO 614i Robot Pool Cleaner Review

how big of a problem do you think it is with trash (pine needles/palm tree spines/etc) getting into and wrapping around the impeller? I previously thought it would be enclosed somewhat preventing trash getting in there.

Need help diagnosing a Maytronic Active 20 (not power supply, cord, or impeller)

Took a few hours today to open up the SE and cleaned carbon-dusted motor, lubed the O-rings and sealed it back. There was no water or rust inside. it's working like new, going to the water line for the first time in half a year! motor shaft spinning easily when I moved it by hand, and when...

New EVO 614i Robot Pool Cleaner Review

yeah it looks like they went cheap with the plastic impeller. On the bright side, if it hits something hard and breaks, replacement blade should be super cheap.

New EVO 614i Robot Pool Cleaner Review

beautiful pictures @Jimrahbe ! Great design. And thank you for pointing out the seals on top of the basket. It does look like the impeller area is much better protected from debris vs a dolphin, it also shoots water straight up the yellow outlet creating better flow? Motor looks to be better...

New EVO 614i Robot Pool Cleaner Review

Need to put in my order soon, anyone with this robot able to take a clear picture of the impeller area while you're cleaning the trash basket? Trying to see how it is protected from hair/palm tree spine from wrapping around it like the dolphin. my pool has 5 palm trees around/over it and it's a...

New EVO 614i Robot Pool Cleaner Review

Thanks Jim! I'm still debating beween this EVO and adding a valve for a dedicated Polaris 360 return line (old Polaris 280 line before I removed the booster pump). I'm leaning towards the EVO (thank you for your super informative review!) but worried about the impeller being wrapped up with...
