    Indoor Pool

Good morning folks, My wife is draggings us out to look at a home with an indoor pool. She is in love but I have my concerns. I know the cost to run is going to be ugly as we live in Ontario, Canada. We are pool people but I worry about moisture and air quality issues. Any advice on items...

No LED's on my Chlorine Generator

Worked like a charm! Even though there were no visible signs of a faulty part until it was cut off and split in half like above. When desoldering I used some 20 gauge copper wire dipped in flux to help pull the solder out of the board. This was my first experience and fortunately it went...

    What's your current pool temp?

76°F outside 85°F inside the pool.

    Phosphates in clear pool

I would start with the test kit. While you wait for it to arrive you might as well drain approx. half of your pool and fill with fresh water and add some bleach / chlorine. It may seem intimidating but the routing becomes as simple as can be in no time at all

    Air leak with vacuuming??

I just had to replace my vacuum hose. Found a small crack. After you fill with water, attach to skimmer you can pull some of the hose out of the water and see if you have a small leak / crack.

Those downspouts don't give me a lot of comfort? How is the drainage in a heavy rain?

Cautionary Tale of a Pool, Fed Up, Frustrated, Lost & Sinking In The Deep End! The write up was incredible! Keep reading the TFP way and you soon will be there with minimal issues or headaches for a long time to come. Looking forward to seeing your progress. Oh and congrats on the new house...

    Opening in about 3-4 weeks

You can put in some bleach but you need to make sure that you "agitate" the water enough that it doesn't just fall and burn your liner. I would agree with the group and consider just opening the pool now and getting things in order. It is very easy to maintain in low temps. Little bleach and low...

    Considering opening pool ourselves

I have a similar ladder and mine uses a socket. When you put the ladder into the holes, pull the circular covers up so you can see the bolts and then tighten them up (finger tight). There is nothing to it. A picture of your fastener or the exposed hole with the brass bolts would be helpful...

    Problem with prime!

Soapy water is your friend when looking for air leaks. Are you able to bleed the air from your filter pressure valve? Does it return?

    Opening Questions

If you are not going to do it yourself I would still be telling them that you do not want any algaecide, stain / scale or clarifier. Your preference is chlorine / bleach only, muriatic aced and stabilizer as required. Once you spend some time reading the site and getting the proper test kit...

    Door stop for outdoor fridge?

Can you add a piece to the top area instead of the ground tripping section? Place a small plastic garbage can / recycling bin in that spot? I am sure we could all get more creative with a picture or two.

Swamp thang, you've made my wife...ANGRY

Looks great. However, power washing your filters is not recommended. Stick with the pressure of a garden hose and that should suffice.
