The owners, incorrectly, told me the cell was three years old. It is seven years old, as you said. I have an additional issue. The knob on the front of the pool heater just turns continuously left or right. The heater will not turn on. Is this a thermostat issue? Thank you, again.

The salt system was installed in 2015, but the cell was replaced three years ago, per the pool company. I don’t have receipts as I just acquired the property in Feb of this year. I understand cells can fail at anytime. The cell does look clean. I’m just curious how you came to to the 2015 date...

The previous owners say they put it in three years ago and was confirmed with the pool agent that installed it. Isn’t the lifespan based on use not when it was manufactured? How do you come up with that date? Thank you.
