Pool Coping loose - huge estimate for repair

Had a concrete/vinyl pool built last year. Had 2" X 12" thermal bluestone slab installed as coping. There is one piece that I can feel tapping on the end when i walk on it so I know it's loose. If you look at the mortar joint underneath, you can see that it's got a hollow spot looks like not...

    timer not shutting off pump.

Hi. New to all this but have gotten some very helpful advice from the folks here so far. Two days ago, I added stabilizer so I took the "off" dog from the timer so the pump would keep running. It did. Now, I've reinstalled the off dog" and while it did shut down the heater and SWG, the pump...

turning timer off to run pump 24/7

New pool and my service set up intermatic timer. I'm about to add some stabilizer to increase my CYA and want to make sure the timer doesn't shut the pump down while it's dissolving. Is this as simple as removing the "Off" dog from the clock? thanks! Mike

Hello, First, thanks for all the help on here. I've been learning a more and more about my pool chemistry, gotten a real test kit etc. I've got a new IG vinyl liner pool with a SWG. Last week we had a bunch of people in the pool and when I left the house on Sunday (we really only make it out...

Tons of footprints in new pool

Thanks to both of you for the replies. I'm new to pools and the forum, so not always sure what to expect. If it doesn't put stress on the liner, I won't worry.

Tons of footprints in new pool

Had a vinyl pool built this spring. The sides are concrete, the bottom is sand. The builders were, overall, not so reliable. We finally got the chance to use it today for the first time, and my 10 year old niece spent about an hour frolicking in it. The floor has a lot of give under it. Turned...

new build - cement stuck to liner

Thanks. Just to follow up, I gave each piece of concrete a bunch of LIGHT taps with the end of the brush pole and the flex seemed to crack the concrete so most of it came off. still a few spots I hope will lift off in the coming weeks.

new build - cement stuck to liner

Hi. My name's Mike and I'm from Long Island NY. I've had a new vinyl pool installed (cement sides) and the masons that installed the bluestone coping let a lot of mortar fall into the pool. In addition to trashing the grids on my new filter, it seems that the pool service company is so far...
