Update on my stain... I tried to add Jack's Magic Purple stuff as swampwoman suggested and nothing happened. So, I will order the chemicals to perform the Ascorbic Acid treatment and keep you posted on my progress.

Passed the SLAM last night lost only 1 on FC and 0 CC and water is clear, stain still there... It seems I have iron staining as needsajet mentioned above. How do I remove an iron stain? Thanks for everyone's help, I would have thrown in the towel without your guidance!

Ok, will drop the FC down tonight. I also put a vitamin C table on the stain and it cleared the stain in minutes, but my water test showed no metals. Not sure what could be causing this stain???

A little new here, but I believe your PH test will be inaccurate during SLAMing. Would be better to wait until finished SLAMing or drop FC to under 10 before testing. I've always used muratic and get mine at Lowe's at a pretty good price.
