    MultiCyclone Centrifugal Filter

Thanks - that is what I feared. It sure would be nice to have some sort of pre-screen for vacuuming.

    MultiCyclone Centrifugal Filter

I am in the process of replacing all my pool/spa equipment and would love to add something like this. My pool gets ALOT of leaves and small pine needles that fill my pump strainer basket in seconds when I have to vacuum. Tons of leaves (especially during spring opening) and **** causes the...

    Updating equipment, need advice please

Thanks for the Raypak recommendation and for confirming my thought that the cupro-nickel was overkill. I will likely contact Raypak techs about the venting.

    Updating equipment, need advice please

I am also doing alot of head-scratching about the heater choices. The big factor is that my current heaters are in the basement and vent up an old brick chimney. This is 'corroding' the interior masonry of the chimney according to a couple of chimney sweeps. They want big $$ to sleeve this...

Upgrading Pump Station Pool & Spa, 20+ yrs old

Hi SansR, I noticed your pool/spa is very similar to mine. I am also doing an upgrade to my 20 year old system and going to a more automated system w/out the lights and water features etc. You should follow my thread as well ('updating equipment, need advice'). I will surely be following yours...

    Updating equipment, need advice please

All of my equipment resides in the basement. We are in Wisconsin BTW. The pool and spa breakers are in the main electrical panel which is also in the basement. We run the spa all year and run the pool May thru Sept. There are no bell and whistles. No lights - they just attract bugs for us. No...

    Updating equipment, need advice please

OK - thanks Jasonlion! I keep leaning towards the VS pump for some reason... So now I further muddied the water by looking at the Pentair Suntouch vs the Easytouch. I will likely be using an IC40 BTW. Will the Suntouch be a better fit for my 'simple' system (no lights to automate etc.)?

    Updating equipment, need advice please

Interesting input on the pump - I will definitely look into that option. These are just the sort of suggestions I was hoping for! So is the Easytouch + IntelliChlor with a 2-speed pump a good setup - assuming the variable speed is overkill for our system?

    Updating equipment, need advice please

Hi fellow pool folks, We are about to replace all the equipment pushing H2O thru our 16K gal inground pool and 700 gal hot tub. The local pool center is proposing the following Pentair equipment: Pump: Intelliflo VS 3hp Heater: Mastertemp 250K btu nat gas Controller: Easytouch 4SC-IC 40 2 actrs...

In ground hot tub - no jet function

I thought about that, but they really do not know anything about how this system functions. They just cut and re-spliced the cable from the outside control panel to the main control box. It may be worthwhile though.

In ground hot tub - no jet function

I can add pics, thx for the suggestion. My hunch is that there is a wire not connected correctly from the outside control panel to the main control panel in the basement. I think this because the system worked fine until the electricians unhooked and then re-connected everything so new siding...

In ground hot tub - no jet function

We have an inground hot tub that is experiencing an issue. Everything has worked fine for years until we did some home remodeling and the electricians reconnected the spa control (on the wall outside) to the control panel at the pump. Now everything works but the jet (high speed) doesn't work...

    Liquidator installed below pool level

So the Liquidator inlet float valve should be preventing the unit from overfilling. I will look at this closer. I would like to better understand the AGP installation with 2 check vlaves. I do have 2 check valves installed, one on the outlet and one on the inlet. The inlet check valve lets...
