Think I might do the 3-4" PVC filled with sand and capped. Them sand jugs are overpriced and way too wimpy. Lids don't keep water out, handles break, about the corners of the jugs crack after 1 year. I'm thinking I can get 50lbs easy out of a couple 2.5ft pieces of pipe.

We have the darkbuster light that serves as the return jet also. Lights up the water pretty good but we only have an 18'

I leave my return hole open, which is lower than the skimmer so water would never get to the skimmer. Never thought about it though. Definitely something to avoid after seeing your picture.

I used pavers under each support. Takes allot of time to get them level all the way across the pool but it makes a great support for your posts and track.

You left the hose hooked up so the skimmer would fill up with water? Never really thought about that but I'm glad I take my hoses off.
