Pool water turning finger nails green

I unplugged the copper cell, what do I do with the exposed prongs, do I need to cover them up to prevent possible shorting the system from rain/water?

Pool water turning finger nails green

This may be a stupid question, but if I'm unplugging the copper cell so that it doesn't produce chlorine that in turn is putting copper into my pool, would just turning off the SWG unit be the same, and I can keep it all hooked up to the pump and pool 'till I get and new one?

If I unplug the copper electrode it won't produce chlorine, am I able to use the chlorine pucks 'till I purchase a new SWG?

Pool water turning finger nails green

I'm thinking like what "JoyfulNoise" mentioned in his comment below, the saltwater generator. This is my third year with it and it has a slow leak in it. My next question is, do I have to dump all of the water in the pool, can I fix this with dumping half of it? Thanks in advance for any/all...

    Chemicals/pool heater

I'm wanting to lower my alkalinity in my pool, I'm getting there slowly but surely. When doing this, I'm not running my pool heater (this is our 1st and new heater, new to me). My husband is wanting to get into the pool and wants the water to warm up, so the heater is on. Can I add chemicals...

Ground Padding under a above ground Intex Pool

I will be installing my new Intex 16' x 48" pool soon and was thinking of different ground pads. I will be using the original ground sheet that comes with the pool, plus a Rino Ground pad. I was also thinking of using the "Connect-A-Mat" that are used for home day cares for infants to crawl...

Need to lower TA and raise CyA

Hi Scuba_Steve. thanks for replying. I've read the threads on here, and I do realize that I need the Taylor kit, and will get one asap, they're very expensive here in Canada, regardless I need one. I did the poolmath and it's telling me the following.... Given TA of 180 and Borate of 0: Add...

    Need to lower TA

Thank you Casey, I'm still trying to raise my CyA, I've been adding stabilizer a little at a time. I just added the recommended amount needed according to the poolmath. Hopefully this will do it. This is my third year with the pool, my first year opening it up as it's an intex pool, you...

    Need to lower TA

Ok, so I backwashed my filter with the intensions of removing water because the salt level was too high (4140). I added more water, tested the salt level the next morning and it was too low (1970). Added more salt (now @ 2310), it's rising however about an hour later, the pool seemed to be...
