No chlorine yet. I will use pool math to figure a dose and get it in right away and put one bromine tab in the floater for maintainance.

I did my first drain and refill. Added the sodium bromide then shocked with "potassiumperoxymonosulfate". 5 days later I am still getting a high FC reading with both the dpd drop test and the oto test. should I wait for the readings to go down before starting to put the bromine tabs in the floater?

Nevermind the above, I confused drops for PPM. I put 2 tabs in the floater about a week ago ang my bromine level went up to 27.5. For the past few day I have been periodically running the jets and leaving the cover open. last check it was down to 7.5. Could I have too much Sodium Bromide...

I read on another thread that you multiply to FC reading by 2.2 to get the total Bromine level. Which is correct?

No speed stir, I use the 25 ml sample, the sample went from pink to clear after 2 drops. I will run the test again tomorrow.
