What chemical can I used as conditioner? I must have missed that in my research?? On the CYA it was slightly below the 20 mark when the black circle disappeared, I compared it to the 30 mark and it appeared to be about 1/4 of the distance so the 22 is really a guess...but I know it was higher...

Is it safe to get in the pool to clean at shock level?

I did both, but I got my reading from the drop test. It was barely pink so I would think it would be more like .2 or.3 on the chlorine. This pool is eating chlorine, according to the poolmath i should be able to add 90oz and raise the FC by 2.5, but that never happens even when I add 121oz...

Any suggestions?

Got my test kit and got the following results: FC: .5 CC: .5 TC: 1.0 PH: 7.2 Alk: 130 CYA: 20 I have been putting 1 121 oz jug of 8.25 bleach in everyday for about 3 or 4 days until my test kit came. I need chlorine and CYA bad I think???? Any suggestions? I am about to plug it in poolmath...

Ok, I have my test kit set to arrive monday, so right now I am relying on pool store and guess strips. Pool is 30' AG, 1.5hp pump with cartridge filter. yesterday the pool store tested my sample and told me everything was good, just need to shock and increase CYA, and then add a little chlorine...

I bet! I have titrated many water tanks in my past and that speed stir would have made a huge difference! I plan on buying one in a week or two, we are building a deck around the pool so funds are limited!
