Cloudy pool need some "clarification" on what to add

Hello all, My pool has been doing great but I just went out of town for a week for work. Had my girlfriend taking care of the pool now it was pretty green and very cloudy. I have been slamming it all week and have vacuumed most of the algae out bit it's still cloudy. I think I need to lower the...

OK, pool is clean and clear, readings look decent....next step?

What chemical can I used as conditioner? I must have missed that in my research?? On the CYA it was slightly below the 20 mark when the black circle disappeared, I compared it to the 30 mark and it appeared to be about 1/4 of the distance so the 22 is really a guess...but I know it was higher...

OK, pool is clean and clear, readings look decent....next step?

Thanks guys! I don't want this pool to be a chlorine money pit again so I will definitely raise CYA! Just use condiioner form pool store? I got the CYA reading from my TF-100 test kit :)

OK, pool is clean and clear, readings look decent....next step?

Already, I have all the algae and stuff out of pool, has been slammed, readings look pretty decent. Any suggestions for slight adjustments to keep it that way? I feel like I may need to raise the PH a little?? More CYA? Also, keep in mind I basically live in the middle of the woods, pool gets...

Test results are in....now I need advice on what to do

I did both, but I got my reading from the drop test. It was barely pink so I would think it would be more like .2 or.3 on the chlorine. This pool is eating chlorine, according to the poolmath i should be able to add 90oz and raise the FC by 2.5, but that never happens even when I add 121oz...

Test results are in....now I need advice on what to do

OK, sorry about that....got it in the sig now...I think. Pool is still pretty clear, there is still some fuzzy stuff on bottom, mostly around edges. I just dumped another 121oz of 8.25% bleach in tonight (after test) The pool has a LOT of trees around it, not sure if that will have an...

NEED FC level up and CYA----help

Thanks guys! I feel better....I don't want to lose all the work we have already put in it to get it clear! I will continue to dump 1 jug of bleach each day until my kit arrives. Great idea on the sample, don't know why I didn't think of that. I used to titrate metal pretreatment wash tanks...

    Newbie-just ordered my TF-100

I bet! I have titrated many water tanks in my past and that speed stir would have made a huge difference! I plan on buying one in a week or two, we are building a deck around the pool so funds are limited!
