IG Pool with waterfall+safety cover installation questions

Re: IG Pool with waterfall+safety cover installation questio Sorry no pics yet. Crazy work schedule working dark to dark! Hope to get pics in a few days. Talked to PB. He admits cover is not cut right and is ordering new one. My build that began near the beginning of this year seems like it...

IG Pool with waterfall+safety cover installation questions

Hey guys and gals. I have a question about safety cover installations. I have a waterfall in about the middle of one side, slightly closer to deep end, and my safety cover was installed recently. There are 2 loose/unused straps by the waterfall (1 each end). These straps are different from the...

lots of water behind liner - can't find leak

First time I've seen this advice, and it is excellent! One of those things that make you slap your head and say "Why didn't I think of that!!?"

Charlotte NC - Pool Closing Options

Do you have a backup power generator? My only concern with leaving it running in the winter is the possibility of a freeze combined with power failure.

    Build concrete inside fiberglass

I would check into having the fiberglass pool reconditioned. I suspect this is quite possible as well as much cheaper, but I'm no expert. I have seen several youtube videos demonstrating this process. Good luck, and I hope you find a way to achieve your desired results in the most economic fashion.

    New Pool Hills of TN

You will love your automation system, VF pump, and SWCG (once it is all set up and programmed) I have the same system. It is awesome. I would definitely consider having a dedicated cleaner line as UnderWaterVanya said. Also, it is recommended to have 2 skimmers and maybe 1 more return. You'll at...

    green pool

Changing sand every "3-5 years" is positively not necessary and not recommended by TFP. Speaking from experience of helping care for my father's concrete pool for 27 years before dozing it in (his choice). In those 27 yrs, the sand was changed once, and that was only because of replacing damaged...

I humbly ask you to opine on a new Central Texas build.

Sorry  Certainly don't want to add confusion. You will be fine. Just do a little more reading on this site. Don't worry. Your pool will be very easy to manage. :)

    Pool Calculator Update?

there is a version for iOS as well as SimplePool for Android. Both work well, but the pool calculator site is probably the easiest to use.

    Pool Calculator Update?

Right, but from that portion of the calculator you can't tell it X number of ounces of X % bleach. You can specify the bleach % and the current and desired FC level, but not the volume of said bleach to find out how it will effect your overall chemistry. I know one could play around with desired...

    Pool Calculator Update?

Anyone know or still have a contact within pSIFlow Technology Inc? Would like to recommend an update to the calculator to account for the new 8.25% concentrated bleach. This is not currently an option in the "Effects of adding chemicals" section at the bottom. I sent an email to them. Will...

I humbly ask you to opine on a new Central Texas build.

LOL, Mine is a voice of only one season of experience! Hopefully someone with much more experience than me will chime in too. :) Plus, his waterfall sheer descents total 96 inches compared to 42 inches on mine. I have a 12/18/12 configuration. I wonder if that would mean his pH rise would be...
