Hello we have a tube solar heater that came with a used pool we purchased. My question is, on all the pics i see online, the heaters are always upright/or at least diagonal (i.e. the slope of a roof) is this necessary or is lying them flat on a table OK?

This is water from last year, just topped off this spring. Algaecide was hth super algae guard 60. Alkyl and dimethyl ethylbenzel ammonium chloride

I did use an algaecide on day 1! Is this bad? My prior pool seemed to require an algaecide even with SLAM and I did it out of habit with this one

Oops I switched pool and now have a cartridge filter which I just replaced yesterday. It is kind of a pretty turquoise cloudy color not at all green

It was always my understanding that the cya after it sitting for the winter would be zero ? But maybe I remembered incorrectly. Either way, i was able to get some more readings! FC 11 Cc 0 Cya now read as 50 ? And I did it two times ? Water is still very cloudy

I wonder If that's it?! It has been kinda of turquoisey some and I had to fill with the hose and we have well water that has iron in it. SoI test for it at pool store what do you use to get the iron out if that's the case since I shouldn't buy from them

OK. I don't see any algae anywhere like I have in the past, nothing floating or on walls just the greenness of the water but I'm assuming that alone means I have an algae problem ? Vs something else ?

Do you think this would be causing my water to still be green/not clear at all? It had been at slam level for two days and I'm not noticing a difference. Trying to determine csi level basing it on what pH was before slam process
