I have the same issue, I see outside of the o ring area small fine cracks. I am thinking maybe a fine layer of epoxy would seal them.

You could pull the motor and pump apart. You may have melted the seal and impeller. I would take it all apart and check those.

I took the inspection cover off today, o ring looks fine may replace anyway. I see fine cracks along the inside. Started it up today still slight seepage. May try to put a light film of epoxy over the fine cracks.

I have an s200 that has started to seep slightly around the metal ring at the top. My question is can I use a good epoxy on the inside to stop this leak. Thanks for the responses. I don't think wash out will be an issue as the sand will be in the frame. Would crush and run work better than sand?

I am using a Hayward S200 sand filter on mine. If you are not planning any upgrades, ie through wall skimmer. I would use the 2500 gph intex sand filter pump combo.

I am using an S200 filter with a 3/4 hp Hayward super pump on my 16x48 intex. No issues here. Just replaced the 27 year old motor this year!

Love my sand filter. I am kinda over kill on my 16x48. I have a Hayward 3/4 hp superpump with an s200 sand filter from an inground pool. I never have to worry about cloudy water!
