So I bought my liquid chlorine, and liquid CYA. The guy at the pool store started selling phosphates and all that good stuff lol. But I just got what I needed and left. Thanks again guys for all the help

Thank you guys, My test kit should be here tomorrow a day before the pool arrives. Can I test the water straight out of the water hose to go ahead and need what chemicals I need to go ahead and have on hand once the pool is setup?

Hey Texas, I just read your post again haha. Once I add the CYA sock, can I go ahead and add the FC right away or do I need to wait a certain time first? And how long after I do this can I swim, do I need to wait the 24-48 hours for the CYA to be adjusted?

But my thing is, the water from my water hose will be pretty good, I know it won't have any FC or CYA, but what do I need to do first to get it swimable haha. Do i need to pour in the liquid bleach to get it to the level it needs, to be run it for a couple of hours test it, then check the PH and...

Can you buy the sand filter sand at lowes, or do you need to buy sand somewhere else for more money,...does it matter?
