I have noticed the same discrepancy between the top and bottom

Check out Belgard Mega-Arbel pavers. They are pavers but look like flagstone. Custom Stone Supply in Frisco off of John Elliot Dr has some installed onsite so you can see what it looks like

Welcome Justin - I too built with Riverbend and had a good experience. We completed the pool last summer at the end of June. I immediately went the TFP route and have not regretted. I can't recommend it enough. All it takes is regular monitoring. Moreso in the summer and much less in the winter...

I'm no expert but in my simplistic view balancing CYA and FC keeps your water clear and algae from growing on surfaces. In other words it keeps your water in balance for people. The other properties pH, TA and CH keeps your water in balance so it plays "nice" with your equipment and pool...

We got bids from Foley, Gold Medal, Hauk, Southernwind and Riverbend Sandler. We narrowed it down to Foley and RBS. We went with RBS. We worked with Hank on the design and Bert was our super.
