how's it looking this is after about 2.5 days of shocking does it look like i am on track? i have a triton sand filter and am using bbb. still cant see the bottom but big difference in color.

its a triton sand filter...i back washed today now the bubble is gone!

it appears that there is one bubble at the top of the pot...i discovered the pressure gauge is broken today i'll have to replace it tomorrow...we just moved into a new house with a pool

i have been running my pump 24/7 for 2 days now ive noticed the returns will slow down after a few hours i can switch the pump off and switch it back on and the returns speed back up any ideas of what could be causing this? also i noticed the water in the pump basket spins much quicker at first...

the motor oil is gone...i followed the advice you guys gave me ended up using enzymes as well thanks for everyone's help

i shut the pump off and released the little bit of air that was in the filter and all jets have been working for about 8 hrs now i will keep an eye on it and post if anyting changes thank you for the response
