    Controlling fc

I have recently started the bbb method. Had some issues with pool but finally at a good place since following this site. I've quit using my inline chlorinator. My problem is keeping chlorine levels up during the day. I can start out fine, at 7, in the morning but will lose all of that during the...

    CYA during a SLAM

Great! Thank you! Another question, when I vacuum, should I be vacuuming on the waste cycle to avoid the water exchange? Will the dead algae hurt my filter?

    CYA during a SLAM

I've started the SLAM process. My question is do I need to check my CYA levels DURING the SLAM and adjust chlorine accordingly or just stay concerned about keeping pool at shock level? I already checked it before starting the SLAM along with my other levels and adjusted where needed. Thanks!

My cya has fluctuated during this, that's just what the reading is as of today. Still new at all this. Have learned a lot on this site. I...

    Staining or not??

Since opening my pool this summer I've been battling what I believe has been algae. After doing extensive research on this site, I also believe I have not been balancing my water properly since having the pool installed. Never had my own testing kit at home. Always relied on the pool store. For...
